“As partners in pushing good governance, it is but important to engage and to collaborate our LGUs in reaching our poor constituents and providing them necessary social protection programs and services,”Macopia quoted DSWD-7 Regional Director Mercedita Jabagat as saying.

Macopia said DSWD shared and adopted the system as mechanism in identifying poor household as beneficiaries of different social protection programs and services like the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Sustainable Livelihood Program and the Social Pension for Indigent Senior Citizens.

Currently, all LGUs in Central Visayas have already entered Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the DSWD for the data sharing.

This covers 100 percent of the 132 cities and municipalities in the region.

Listahanan or NHTS-PR is an information management system that identifies who and where poor households are in the country, Macopia added.
